older and wiser

there is an assumption that as we grow older we get wiser ,and true i,m afraid,the rule is we carry on being just as daft ,making plenty of mistakes,its just that we make new one different ones.we do learn from experiences and may not make the same mistakes again ,but there is a whole new pickle jar .fresh ones just lying in wait for us totrip up and fall into,the secret is top accdpt this and not to beat yourself up when you do make new ones,the rule really is be kind to yourself when you do muck things up,be forgiving and accept that its all part of the growing older but no wiser routine
